​Program-Specific Requirements

  1. ADH / ABA / AUD / ABEI / SALD
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and a portfolio are mandatory.
  2. BAE / BE
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Building Engineering. Students with different backgrounds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by a committee.
  3. LALLH
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Forestry, Agricultural or Environmental Science. A Curriculum Vitae (CV) is mandatory, and it can be enhanced with photos and images. A portfolio is also welcomed for students with a background in Architecture, Design, and Landscape.
  4. MBE
    A Bachelor’s Degree in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management Engineering, Architecture, or Architectural Engineering.
  5. UPPD
    A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields related to the program: Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Sociology and Social Sciences, Geography, Economics, Political Sciences, or Environmental Science. Students with different backgrounds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by a committee. Architects are required to submit a portfolio.

If your transcript does not include the GPA or weighted average score, it is highly recommended to provide a document from your university that shows your GPA/weighted average score. This document will help speed up the assessment process of your application.

  1. ​Course Descriptions
    You are required to provide brief but detailed descriptions of the courses you've completed, clearly explaining the content and the main topics covered in each course. If possible, include the number of hours for each course or training activity according to your academic curriculum.
    The detailed study programme can be taken directly from your university’s website or copied from the university’s course catalogue.
    If course descriptions are not available, you can write them yourself and have them signed by the Head of the Department of your study programme.
  2. Mailing Documents - SEND BY POST
    You are required to mail the following:

The mailing deadline is the same as the deadline for online submission, so ensure that your materials are mailed and arrive by the deadline.

Important Notes

  1. Multiple Applications
    You can apply for up to two Master of Science programmes per semester (1st and 2nd choice). If you are admitted to both, you will be asked to choose your preferred programme. Applicants for Architecture and Design will have their second choice evaluated only if not admitted to the first choice. Therefore, it’s important to list your preferred programme as your first choice.
  2. Fall Admission Only
    For the academic year 2021-22, the School of Architecture and Design will accept students only for the fall semester (September intake).
  3. Results Announcement
    The outcomes of your application will be published on your personal profile between October 2020 and February 2021.
  4. Application Evaluation
    Applications are evaluated after receiving the original transcripts and verifying the complete upload of the required documents. Evaluation is done on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, the sooner you complete your online application and provide the required documents by post, the sooner your application will be evaluated.
